Believe in the sun, even when it's not shining

In love, even when you're alone

In God, even when He is silent.

Simply Beautiful...

This has been some week...Aunt Mary gave Gracie her first pair of pearl earrings...

...and she received a surprise package in the mail from my good friend, Mrs. Dorothy...Gracie loves the tutu attached to the top...she can feel like a princess even at school!
...and the end of the week brought Miss Lauren's wedding rehearsal & dinner...Galveston was feeling the effects of Hurricane Karl, but it was all sunny skies inside St. Patrick's...
Lauren, Cory & Father John practicing for the big day...
Early Saturday morning found Gracie and I (& eventually even Jack) at the beauty salon...giving locks to my Strawberry Goldilocks...

Ms. Carla works wonders...

Oh yeah...pretty baby!
Like I said, Hurricane Karl...
...but that didn't beat out this kind of anticipation!

Little one watching the singing trio...

Lauren looks beautiful and so happy...Gracie is mesmerized...

"Whoo! That was long...where's the cake?" Yep, that's our girl!
Miss Kasey & Gracie making their exit...
...and then back in again for lots and lots of pictures...
Lauren & Cory with their parents...

Taking every moment in...
The bridal party

Cory & the girls...
I imagine that she might look much this same way on her own wedding day...even the goofy expression! That's just our Squeezy!
The girls...
Mr. Frank, Mrs. Robin's brother, having a chat with Gracie...
We made it to the reception at The San Luis... we filled our tummies with dinner and cake...
...and then that girl danced the night away...kicking it all off with a father/daughter dance...

Lauren and all of her riding students...
Daddy giving Gracie a dollar for the dollar dance with Mrs. Lauren...
dancing with bridesmaids Sarah & Chelsea -
...and then a whole crew of young girls...

The macarena...
There doesn't have to be anyone else around...the girl is gonna dance! She's a party of one!

I love my beautiful baby girl!

Conga line...I'm telling ya...she didn't miss a beat!
Cotton-eyed Joe

Dancing with groomsman Dan

All the girls encircling Cory

Tossing rose petals is my girl's specialty apparently...she is at the head of the line, holding her sash up as it has finally come undone from all of the dancing, armed with many petals to throw at the beloved couple...
There they are...

Out come all the pins...I remember Alicia doing this for me at my wedding...it feels so good!
Now, she can really get down to business with her flower girl loot from Mrs. Lauren...
A sampling of her dance moves...she had a GREAT time and we were sooooo proud of her!
