Believe in the sun, even when it's not shining

In love, even when you're alone

In God, even when He is silent.

San Antonio River Parade & Tree Lighting 2009 & other fun stuff...

After everyone left Thanksgiving evening, we took Jack's Mom a sampling of our feast and then returned to work hard to clean the kitchen and put all of the serving dishes and china away so that we could rise early and get on the road for San Antonio. We took Gracie to the river parade and tree lighting that Friday evening. It was chilly, there were plenty of boats full of carolers and it was just the thing to get us in the Christmas spirit! We made a visit to La Villita, took a stroll on the river and grabbed some lunch...then, a nap before heading to the evening festivities...
The first boat arriving...

Even Ronald McDonald...

Copping a squat on the escalator...that girl was plum pooped!

On Saturday, we headed north instead of south to go shopping in Boerne and Fredericksburg...both of these shots are in Boerne when everyone was still alive, alert, awake and enthusiastic...we didn't arrive home until about 10 that night - Gracie fell asleep our last hour coming home so she was ready to go again by the time we arrived. The only place Marmie and I were going was TO BED! Thank goodness for Daddy...

It was a little tiring, but we had Sunday to begin decorating the house for Christmas, which is what we usually do Thanksgiving weekend, so it worked out well...we're on count-down...hope you guys are in the spirit!
